NRK - Forthcoming Releases

Joeski & DJ Chus - EL AMOR - 2002 REMIXES
NRK071 , 12” , 30th September 2002

Fresh from their critically acclaimed nite:life mix, West London's Peace Division have re-worked the classic Joeski and DJ Chus latin houser, 'El Amor'. Originally out on NRK last Summer (with Tim Deluxe mixes), Peace Division drop some tribal-esque beats, 5am effects and a hypnotic cut up of the vocal.
The flip is equally essential dancefloor fodder with UK stalwarts Terry Farley and Chris Bangs tweaking the original into a deep, acid-tinged builder, perfect for those early morning moments. Farley & Bangs have turned out two interpretations of the track, both skillfully combining the finest elements of the original and adding some great percussion and late 80's acid house elements
El Amor 2002 gets a release on September 23rd with white labels exclusively available from this website very soon....

The buzz has well and truly started on Q-Burns Abstract Message. The initial mailout of test pressings and CDRs of 'Innocent' has brought Radio 1 airplay from Lottie and Annie Nightingale, and, by the time you would have received this, another play on Pete Tong's Essential Selection. The King Britt mix is doing the business at the moment, eclipsing his mixes of Josh One's 'Contemplation'.

We now present a new remix from Magik Johnson AKA Dick Johnson from Shaboom. Not only has he collaborated with Ian Pooley on this Summer's massive club cut 'Piha', Magik J has also remixed the brilliant 'Misti Blu' by amillionsons for London Records. He's also got the darker cut 'Afro Magik' on promo for Mark Bell's Blaktrax label.

'Innocent', by Q-Burns Abstract Message, features the silky vocal talents of Lisa Shaw (Naked Music) and is backed with a classy King Britt remix.
The Original Radio Edit has a retro indie feel to it with it's sliding guitar licks, balearic breaks and ethereal vocals and has been likened to The Sundays, My Bloody Valentine and Beth Orton.
